ya lah, i know i very slow to blog abt the recent tabloids, but good mah, i dun like to jump to conclusion immediately, and being one of the last one to talk abt it, allows me ample time to present my neutral point of views... Ok, lets see:

Edison's Been There, Done That's Saga

Has the entire episode been blown out of proportion? I quite like to think so leh. Perhaps, if we remove the thinking that the leading actor and actresses of this ridiculous movie were only your typical "no-names" commoners, the headline splashed would probably last 1-2 days? Fortunately or unfortunately, this "movie"' starred big names that we know, and added punch to our boring coffeeshop talks.

I wonder from which angles are the "critics" making noise from? Are they making a huge hoo-ha because of:

A) Moral? (unacceptable to "kinky" or "exhibitional" sex??)
2) Jealousy? (applies to both sexes, hating the leading characters land themselves with cute-looking stars??)
3) Envy? (perhaps many wished they have the guts to "self-filmed" or wished their own photography skills are on par?)
4) Current Affairs? (must be up to date right? else sure kena laughed at for being a mountain tortoise)
5) Angry? (because audiences feel cheated by virginal behaviour by certain stars, with hopes dashed with the splash of "acrobatic positions"?)

End of the day, if we put aside all prejudice and biaseness, its just abt hot-blooded young man with raging hormones having intimate moments with the then-girlfriends/partners. In conservative Asia, perhaps one may deem it as promiscuous for one to have so many partners, but I do believe that to be able to be intimate with someone, a "like/love" factor is likely involved. Ok, i may be wrong because some may protest that its just a measure for some, to prove how "popular" or "wanted" he/she is. Still, all these pictures and sexual acts were done before closed doors, and hence, what crime was committed?? Not as if these pple are openly exhibiting their kamasutras right?

Time for this news to die off lah.... pple must learn to take such news with a pinch of salt. I am not encouraging any immorality or casual sexual behaviours, but I do feel that one must learn to be responsible of their own actions, whether in the bedroom, on the street, at work or in class... applies to all aspects.


GoodBye Lydia Sum

Here's bidding goodbye to a big commedian. While i was feeling a certain sadness when our local commedian, MC King left so suddenly, the departure of Lydia Sum, though expected, was equally if not more, upsetting. I mean, i really loved the 80s chinese movies, especially those with Lydia Sum starring in it. She made me laugh, with her formidable performance... esp loved her sharp retorting in the shows. And she spoke beautiful english too!

I do think it is good that she left, cos I'm sure she's in heaven, as a happy, big angel with huge sense of humor! I dun think there will be any other commedians who can go par with her achievements. Goodbye Lydia, and time for me to actively search for those 80s movies...


Fabulous Queen - Zoe

Back to local scene, we have a spate of heated arguments over our Caldecott Queen and her latest cover shoots in - Bikinis. Singaporeans, PLS GET a LFE!!!! The arguments are trivial, if u asked me... Fancy boring Singaporeans arguing abt:

1) Mother of 2 over-exposing.
2) Zoe's digitally enhanced.

Come on lah, so u mean to say a mother CANNOT expose herself to the mass in her bikinis?? And i am not even talking abt doing the full monty!! Its just BIKINIS!!! So, to these people, pls do not get yourselves air tickets to australia and even if u need to, pls avoid going to Bondi Beach, Manly Beach etc... Dun go embarrassing yourself. Me worry abt you pple, treading on the soft sand, with ur hands covering ur eyes, only to find urself falling into sand holes.

Tell me, why issit that pple are tolerant to the westernised behaviour of skimpy swim suits, having calendars with cover girls literally "uncovered" and yet blasting our local actress for being "indecent"? As what other forumers say, if Philip Chioh (Zoe's hb) dun mind, why are u minding for??

And stop saying that she did her boobies... whether she did or not, issnt any of your business? Medically speaking, yes, having a baby really does bring up the cup size.. and especially since she is still feeding the kid.

As for digitally enhanced, my avatar pics get slammed ALL the time by my frens cos they suspected i PS (photoshopped) them... sometimes, its all abt the photography angles. I must openly admit that I am not a beauty and my skin is lousy like hell!! but surprisingly, my avatar pics do turn out delightfully well, becos:

1) when pics are small, its nt easy to find flaws
2) there is a thing call "effects", and to minimise "defects", i mostly use the black and white, or sephia modes
3) camera flirting IS important, u must learn to communicate with the lens

Hahaha, i do sound like a professional hor? BUT, i am not a model neither do i knw hell a lot abt photography. What i am trying to illustrate is that when pple look good, pls give them the benefit of doubts. What business is it of yours anyway?

Everyone loves to criticise but do not enjoy being criticised. Please put yourself in others' shoes before u start to slam? Just like the "I Swallow" advertisement... hell!!! Unless u are telling me that Zoe was the one who came up with the tagline... else? If anyone was to blame, I probably think the one who came up with this tagline shld take the blame. Not the one endorsing.

Well, so much so for being neutral... tink those reading this entry may feel that i'm getting defensive.. hahaha, end of day, just relax lah..
