You Call That CUSTOMER SERVICE??

Holy Shit! After my lousy encounter at Asia Hotel BKK, i thot life would be once more peaceful for a peace-loving person like me.... and i really think that i am incapable of getting pissed by others until....

until i stepped into the stoopid Akira Service Centre. The story goes:

Bought cheap vaccum cleaner for my tenants in April 07. Used less than 10 times, and in late Oct, vaccum cleaner started to behave in a weird manner. When vaccum hose is inserted into the machine, the motor started to overhaul... as in consistently making loud noise and subsequently comes to a stop. HB brought the machine to the Service Centre and explained to them. Customer Service gal (i believe a myanmar national) brought it to the Technician (a chinese national). They couldnt communicate cos of language barrier. Then Technician scribbled a note in chinese for the CS Gal to read??!! *Gasp, cant communicate, how to read??* Left it there for "checking.

2 weeks later, CS called hb to go collect the vaccum. HB went, another CS person said there was no problem (actually they din even "dissect" the machine to check the cause), cos the suction was still damm strong when they placed their hands against the air-intake hole. They even threw behind a sentence" You must learn to maintain it"... what the heck! my tenants used less than 10 times!

Back at home, the same problem arise, i.e. auto stop, and no power. This time, I went with HB to Toh Guan again. And i was simply appalled at the bad and lack of good CS. When we were at the counter, explaining the problem, the CS guy wanted us to demo for him. He pointed at the powerpoint that is behind hb, and told him to plug the powerpoint there. All these communication, were done thru "sign language". He merely pointed his finger at the available powerpoint and asked HB to DIY. Gosh, aint he suppose to come out from the counter to assist?

As if that wasnt bad enuf, after HB turned on the vaccum, Hb casusally vaccummed the area to chk if the vaccum is still hvg the same shitty prob. This time, the CS guy, gave a snigger and asked, "why dun u also help to vaccum the entire area so its so dirty?". I SAW RED THIS TIME!!!!! This to me, is basically NOT HUMOROUS, period. HB's face was damm DLz lor...

We kept asking him to "hear" for himself the weird sound that the machine's making, but he simply was oblivious to anything. We insisted that the vaccum be sent in for a thorough check up before he said he will get a technician to chk. Coincidentally, the technician walked out of the counter towards the main door, and this CS guy, told us to call for him. Without giving us a name, he merely pointed to the technician and said in chinese,"就是他。去叫他." This time, i looked at him and said that “这好像是你的工作吧?". He had the cheek to smile and shook his head, as if implying that we are some fools or that that should not be his job. We insisted that he should go get the technician and not us. Finally, out of no choice, he called for the technician's name, and briefly explained to the technician. His brief basically missed the relevant and impt details like what went wrong with the vaccum. We had to re-explain to the technician.

We thot the technician wuld be more CS-oriented, but we were wrong too. He merely spoke to us in a string of chinese sentences, and went one round to say that they have checked but found no prob. Oh really? He probably meant to say his"bionic' eyesight tells him that there's no prob and dun require him to check. This time, we insisted he leave the machine there and they had better either change the parts. He then LL said he will change the motor since its still under warranty.

Great, i shall make another trip to collect when they call, and see if their CS has improved afterall. Shit!
