Backdated Entries

i hvt gone missing, folks... was purely busy working and partying..keke... its the seasons to PLAY!!! Am gonna backdate a few entries into one.. hang in there to read!

20th Dec - Xmas Party at JC's

Well, it was a good party at JC's place. The attendees were Karen n family, Sel, HL, and my family. It was potluck for us, and Sel did salad+muffin, JC presented her virgin Tiramisu, HL did sharks-fin w/o fins, Karen prepared mussels and me, brought along home-cooked curry chix. it was a huge spread!

Karen's 2 princesses were very pretty n adorable. I dunno if Daryl is smittened by them (probably too young), but i can see that the kids got along well, almost instantly! The sisters remind me of those royal princesses, borned in modern times. Cheeky as they were, but both exude feminity, each in their own unique way.

After our heavy lunch, the kids watched their DVDs and the adults started their "dry swimming" session. And in btw the 2 games, we stopped for Xmas Pressie Exchange. All kids got their own pressies, whereas the adults, exchanged the gifts amongst themselves. For the adults, we drew lots before the event, and knew who we should be buying for. I was suppose to get a gift for Sitoh, and Hb, to get for Kelvin (Karen's hb). We had so much fun, opening up our gifts. I got for Sitoh a huge calculator, wishing his business to prosper (i thot it felt a little like CNY's wishings). Helped Sitoh to get a gift for HL. Got her a Lilian Too's Fengshui book.

We stayed till almost 10pm before leaving JC's place. Sitoh presented us a piece of melody (a bit rusty but sounded good cos it came from a guy) and the princesses n prince danced a little before the adults shoo-ed them to pack up. Pics uploaded here. Click to see part 1 and part 2.


22nd Dec - Airwaver Xmas Party at Sentosa

We had our Airwaver Xmas Party at Sentosa's Tg Beach this year. Due to the rain, the turn-out was lukewarm, but the atmosphere was exciting. Streamcus was at the beach since noon, and had "chopped" a sheltered place for us.

My family went to Vivo City for a quick shopping and we ended up at the playground and Sky Garden. It was bliss to see Daryl running ard, fully enjoying himself. Really felt darn relaxed, and we took a series of pics too!

Then we proceeded to Sentosa's Tg Beach. Weather was not kind, although there wasnt any heavy downpour. It drizzled thru-out. Still, the kids were not put off by the bad weather. The adults were enthusiastically talking and eating. We had our gift exchange thru drawing numbering lots. The highlight came when everyone drew their gifts and there was one more gift, bearing the no. 4, remained "unclaimed". After calling out for almost 5 minutes, no one came forward to claim. I shouted for a "head-count" and realised that indeed everyone drew their own pressie. By this time, everyone got jittery! Suddenly, someone "owned" up, saying that he brought along 2 gifts, not knowing that it was per gift per family. Wahahah!!!

By 8pm, we packed and left Sunny Island-Sentosa. Some of us decided to then proceed to iggy's hse for more drinks. We ended up polishing off 1.5 bottles of wines, btw the 3 drinkers, while the other watched on.
