When Van Meets Car

It was a wet Monday night, and a very unlucky one for hb too. Right in the morning, Hb had complained of twitching eyelids, and i brushed it off as him being paranoid. The day went by peacefully, with him sending me for my massage fix and him being very productive in meeting clients.

After work, we went to Jurong West to cousin's hse, and before we dropped by the hse, we thot it wuld be gd to get our dinner settled at the Sheng Siong food centre. It was slightly drizzling, and when all of us went up to the food centre, son said that he's left his water bottle in the car. I proceeded to get Wanton Mee for son, while hb went bk to the car to retrieve the bottle.

Now, next to our car, was an empty lot, and hb opened the backseat cardoor(still within our lot), bent down to get the bottle. All of a sudden, hb felt the cardoor closed onto him with a force. If u can imagine right now, hb's legs were standing on the ground, body was inside the car, and the door clamped onto his hips. He was practically trapped. His first instinct was to push the door backwards to free himself, but realised that he could not. He looked upwards in an awkward position, and realised that a van had reversed while parking onto the empty lot that was beside him.

At the moment, hb's mind was racing furiously and he was screaming in the car, hoping that someone culd hear and help him. But he then realised that no one could possibly hear him, and he got real freaked out, thinking that he could be crippled. All of a sudden, he felt the force of the car door on him loosen. Apparently the stoopid driver stopped his van cos he realised no matter how he tried to reverse, the van culd not make any headways. The moment he drove the van forward, hb sprang out of our car, and walked to him asking how come he dun check before reversing. Gosh, the answer to the question was," How come you nvr hear my reverse beep?"

Hb flew into a rage (a very rare situation cos hb is Mr Nice Guy). This fella who is standing right in front of him, had banged into him, and insisted that it was no fault of his, and refused to apologise. What pissed hb off is that not only he denied everything, he insisted it was hb's fault for not hearing his van reversing. At that moment, hb shouted at his publicly saying," How the fark you expect me to hear, when my farking head is inside the car and my backside is pointing out???!!!".... hahahaha, now that i m relating tis thing, i think it was indeed very funny to imagine the scenario.

All this while, i was up at the food centre, and i found it funny when hb took such a long time to return, and all of a sudden, so many pple in the food centre stood up and looked out towards the carpark. I had such bad feeeling, and i thot hb had fell down or something. When i rushed to hb's side and heard what had happened, i tell ya, i got so freaking mad that i shouted at them too..

The dispute continued for 15mins, and that stoopid driver refused to barge further. He then said, if we want, we can call the police. Gosh, that was a challenge or what? Of cos we called for the police. Then we waited for the police in the rain for half an hour. After reporting the entire story, the police said we can choose to settle off or to go hospital for check out and then lodge an official report. We decided that it would be best to go for the checkup in case of any fractures.

At NUH, we waited for almost 2 hrs, before doc gave hb 6 days mc, and diagnosed that hb has slightly hurt his veins, thus leading to numbness and pain. By the time we finish lodging the report at the Police Post at NUH, it was 1am.

As of today, hb is still complaining of numbness. We had reported this to our insurance agent, and he is in the process of doing our claims. I hope we can see justice done. I really hope that idiot will be punished for his refusal to apologise and for banging into hb.
