My boy is so brave. First time going thru the "neberlyser" and he was really calm. He did what he was told to do, i.e. to inhale and exhale. Dun see the pics and start thinking that he was so poor thing.. He can even make funny faces at me, as if to calm his mummy. Oh, that darling!
Throughout the day, it was like a sleeping marathon for him, although it certainly was not a peaceful sleep, as intermittently, the sleep was broken cos of the coughs. As for me, i was sniffing non-stop too, the signals of being sick.
At night, son tried to sleep, but went into severe coughing fits. Seeing him heaving non-stop and making "limpish" sound, hurt a lot. It din make matters good that i was still nursing a groggy headache. Rushed him to KK A&E, and the nurse after takin temp and clipping some thing to his thumb, told me that we dun need to queue, and to proceed directly to the doctor. Doc said son needed 2 dosage of ventolin puffs, over half an hour. He was required to undergo x-ray too, to see if the lungs are clear.
After almost 1 hr ordeal at KK, doc left us with 2 choices i.e.
1) to do home rest and if he starts another coughing fit, he wuld need to be admitted immediately;
2) to be admitted immediately for observation
Ok, we felt that it might scare son if we suddenly admit him like dat, and since he's showing signs of recovery, we felt it might be better to head home. While driving home, my head throbbed and i culd not concentrate on driving, as i was repeatedly turning my head to chk on him. But the time we reach home, it was almost 2am, and my energy suddenly vanished. Finally, the viral bugs won a battle against my body immune system. I finally threw in the white towel.. surrendered to the bugs.
