Macro or Micro?

this has been bothering for for some time... and i figured i better work this formula out or i risked sleepless nights, pondering over the answers...

MACRO or MICRO?

Definitions extracted from an online Dictionary:

MACRO

2. of or pertaining to macroeconomics.

MICRO

–adjective
1. Extremely small.

3. of or pertaining to microcomputers.

So des-neh.. now i figure out the diff betw Macro and Micro... but all along i knw the diff btw Macro n Micro mah!! So why was i bothered?

QNS: Am i a MACRO or MICRO person?

Ya lah, its this dumb qn that is botherin me... u may think that i am so "eng" or so bored to be asking myself that.. or u may also posed me a simple qn of "how can you dun understand yourself?"... but come'on, it really disturbs me big time when i hear pple ,making casual comments abt pple they knw regarding them being a macro or micro person.

What really sparked off this debate was when i was working on a project recently, someone said something abt the boss being a micro person, only paying attention to the nitty-gritty stuffs, instead of the foresights far. As i laughed along at this harmless conversation, it set me thinking too...

To advance in career, one needs to be MACRO or MICRO? Being macro, means looking far, setting long term directions, has great visions, and probably the person's character is highly "insensitive" to others' feelings. On the other hard, to be micro, may mean paying attention to the "littlest" things, looking back each time when a short term goal is achieved, before setting the next short term goal. Probably this person is highly sensitive to the surroundings ard him/her, senses if the person next to him/her is foe or friend.

In that case, can i assume that most CEOs or people who manage people, are usually MACRO? Since these are the pple who usually (note - i used the word "usually", not "actually") make the difficult decisions, decide what to do, how to do and WHO to do.

But it would be most dumb to have such assumption, cos when these pple first start up their business or career, dun they go thru a trying period? And again, usually pple tread slowly, uncertainly and carefully when making their first bold step. And when doing that, they need to think about almost anything and everything. So, u call that MACRO or MICRO?

hahaha, so are u as confused as me, regarding the affairs betw being macro or micro?

I am thinking aloud, what would my reactions be if pple say i am (answers in blue):

1) A Macro Person - Happy cos they probably think i have certain capability? But wun that makes me a careless person who neglects all the nitty gritty things in life??

2) A Micro Person - Happy cos they probably think i am there to take care of the smaller fundamental issues that most pple fail to take care of? But wun that means i am incapable of bigger things in my life?

Maybe, i shld stop dwelling in this insensible debate, and start making sure i am a person with enough macros (big heart, more cash, bigger diamonds, more friends) and sufficient micros (small sized, little troubles and less health problems)... ahhh... that i think is very sensible... wahaha, i m enlightened!!
