The Wedding

attended ah kow's wedding last night, and was so privileged to be seated at Table 1, next to their VIP table. wahaha, that speaks so much abt our status. Afterall, not many pple get invited to their secondary schoolmate's wedding, after decades.

got dressed up in satiny black, and power heels, and sashayed gracefully to the cocktail venue. hmm... was way too early... but most of my mates were there already. our table seated pple from all walks of life, and most graduated from ZHSS. There was Ande and his wife, Faith, both in banking industry. Then there was Chunhai and wife, Jessica, whom i dunno that well. And Jaime + hb, Kelvin... and Junwen + Josephine, also someone i am not familiar with, and Donny, who's in IT, own business.

During the dinner, it was nice to catch up with the folks, although most of them have been in constant contact for the longest time, except me. To quote what Donny said," you disappeared for a long time and suddenly emerged". wahahaha..

Well, the dinner was held at Furama Riverfront, and sadly, it was a little bit disappointing. First of all, the originally cosy amber atmosphere was spolit big time when suddenly all the lights were turned on fully. Imagine how "stark naked" i felt when it was that bright. Comeon, no one dines in brightly litted function halls. Then, the air-con was blasted full force, and all the ladies were lamenting abt how cold they were. And when the couple did their second march, the stage manager was fumbling with the set up of the champagne glass fountain. Imagine the couple was walking mid-way, and the stage manager was just setting up the 3rd tier?

Well, i guess i am being critical as i have attended so many weddings and probably have learned to watch out for such glitches. But it was sweet to see ah kow announcing that besides the wedding, it was also the wife's bday. A surprise bday cake was trolleyed in with ah kow singing the bday song. What a moment! But we were all giggling away cos although the wife was unaware of the little surprise, she din seem quite taken aback. I thought perhaps she was still feeling nervous abt being a bride. kekeke

whats a wedding if there were no sabotages? and to think, ah kow's best buddies since primary sch, i.e. ande and guys, were the ones to sabo him!! We were the last table ard the entire function hall, waiting for the grrom's arrival. As usual, it was a concoction awaiting for him. The concoction had such terrible stench that i cant help but turned my nose up!! Beer, Red Wine, Brandy, Tea, Coke, Egg. Gosh!!!! Donny din had a good time either. What was supposed to be sabotage for the groom, turned out to be one for Donny too! He had to down the other glass, to accompany Ah Kow!! kekeke

Anyway, it was still a good wedding, and now, i m lookin forward to Mike's wedding tis Sun. I am gonna be the emcee and i certainly hoped i wun screw up the wedding!!! *Cross Fingers*
