A*Mei's Star Tour Concert ROCKS!!!

Well, if you had read my previous posting abt both Sammi Cheng and A*Mei's concerts, you would know that i would jump the boat to catch the concerts. And, i was fortunate to catch A*Mei's Star Tour Concert tonight at the Indoor Stadium.

After a quick dinner with hb and son at Old Kallang Airport, we left together with Sel to our destination. By 7.30pm, we were seated comfortably at A05 Row 7. The wait seemed like eternity. By 8.10pm, many people were still strolling in. Well, i guess the situation outside must be in a frenzy. While waiting, i started taking pictures. The empty pockets within each sector, was filled up just before the concert started. It was a FULL HOUSE situation! BRAVO!!!

The DIVA opened the concert with her upbeat new title "永远的快乐". HOT!! but the crowd seemed a little passive. As the night progressed, the excitement level of the crowd increased too.. although many still seem a little laid back. Screams were heard, and choreographed cheering were demostrated by her fans who were donned in red.

She sang so many numbers, dance tracks, love ballads, songs from both new and previous albums. i must say i am very impressed with her vocals. Amazingly good, and i really think she has probably the most incredible set of lungs (this artiste has power when she sings!) and also, sexy body that screams "I'm Hot!! I'm Sexy!!" etc".

I really think i like the present A*mei. Gone were the days when she pranced around the stage like a sexy leopard (a little alike to the Lian/Huey-s. She did more ballads and it instantly became a mega-singalong karaoke session. Almost everyone sang alongside with her. I felt a sense of 感动 cos it seemed like an old fren singing togther, and that we grew up gracefully together. No doubt when she danced sexily with the male dancers, or that she teased the audiences with her curved and suggestive dance moves, she certainly exudes an air in her. But it will certainly feel uncomfortable if they whole session is all dance tracks. The song selections' very good!

Well, almost halfway into the concert, i culd not retain my "itch" any longer. I knew that i just have to stand and MOVE!! By that time, the passive audience were starting to warm up too. Some young pple in the front row started to stand and sway their lightsticks. But most pple before us were still a little too quiet. It felt as if they were watching some DVDs at home, with their arms all crossed.

Well, from what seemed was a mega-singalong, it had turned into a huge party house!! The Diva had requested for all to remain standing and it looked damm magnificient!!! Take a look at the pic i took! All was standing and grooving along!!!

I think i lost count of the no. of outfits she changed into that night. Probably as many as 6. But beneath the occasion glam or casual wear, is a superb artiste, who can charm and tease her audience, and still enjoys herself on a 4-sided stage.

Although there were several pyrotechnic outburst, many dancers with "salivating" bods, crazy fans and all, i somehow felt that this is a pretty intimate concert. Unlike Sandy Lam's concert i watch 4 yrs back (i was heavily pregnant then), where it was really a colourful mardi-gras kinda performance, or A*mei''s concert at the national stadium 5 yrs ago, this Star Tour clearly showed that the Diva has mellowed positively, and has grown into a "fren" type of artiste.

Well, the concert ended at 11.45pm, and i was still screaming "MORE!!"..in my head lah... walked out reluctantly with sel to reconcile with Leafy n Yokie. They were there to watch too!!! As i tried to talk to them, i realise my voice was seriously gone, from all the cat-calling!! haaahaaa....
