Ok, i desserted my AW fellas to go "happening" with the gals last friday. Actually i did turn up at Kallang's The Cage to give my feeble support to the boys who were playing that night. But my heart's not with them. By the time i rushed to Central, the gals were only starting their dinner.
When done, we happily strutted along the crowded lanes. It was donkey years ago that i stepped both feet onto Clarke Quay. Besides the regular Hooters, everything else changed. From a cold lifeless town, to become a bustling nightspot, I'm amazed. We had wanted to check out Barfly but we cant find any seats..dammit! it was only 9plus! We walked around, checking out various outlets and by 10pm, we were still standing along the walkways. Decided that we need to get out of this place, and we were deciding btw Velvet and Villa Bali. Finally decided on a quieter venue, i.e. Villa Bali. Looking at the long texi queue, we decided to call for cab.
At VB, we got comfy with drinks and our gals talk. In comparison, the quiet ambience was quite welcomed compared to the loud music and chattering of the club-goers. JC can finally pour out her thoughts abt her new work environments. Sel for once, has upgraded to become a listener, and me, as usual, the analyser.
We certainly drank much lesser than when we were at velvet. Sel had 2 mugs of beer, JC had 1, and me? i long-island (potent ok?) and one hugh Erdinger White. Hey, i like Erdinger, after the first sip. We stayed till almost 2am, and shared a cab home. Not exactly very happening night out, but we already felt so used to each other that whether its a crazy nite out or an all talks night, we are just so at ease already. Chk below for more pics.
